Losing a tooth is special when you are a child. Making the moment even more special can be accomplished by offering your child a special tooth fairy pillow. Tooth fairy pillows are not difficult to make and I follow a tooth fairy pattern very loosely, the dog themed fairy pillow pattern that I offer here is really easy and fast to make.
Here you will find a tooth fairy pillow craft that I made using felt squares purchased from the local craft store, be sure to look at the photographs for a visual reference. The tooth fairy pillow pattern directions as well as the photos will help to produce a really cute dog themed tooth fairy pillow.
Felt squares in colors: brown, tan, white, black and pink
Thread in coordinating felt colors
2 brown circles (use old CD to trace around)
2 tan circles (free hand slightly smaller than CD or find a circular object to trace around)
4 brown ear shapes ( I free hand drew shapes)
2 white eye shapes ( I free hand drew shapes, see the photos for reference)
2 circle black eyes
1 circle pink nose
5 or 6 tan small circles for spots
1 rectangular tan pocket
Sew white eye shapes on smaller tan circle, then sew on black eyes on to the white eye shapes. Sew on pink nose to larger brown circle, stitch a black mouth and black whiskers. Sew tan pocket on brown larger circle, sew tan small circles on ears and large brown circle for spots. Sew the ears and stuff with filler. Sew the smaller tan circle to the larger brown circle, front and back. As you are sew the tan circles together, make sure to sew in the ears as you are going along. Stuff the entire dog head with filler and sew the opening.
This easy and fun dog themed fairy pillow is really simple to make and it can be completed in a short amount of time.
