New York State’s current Attorney General is Democrat Andrew Cuomo who is following in his predecessor’s (disgraced former Governor Eliot Spitzer) footsteps by campaigning to become the next Governor of NY. This year New Yorkers will choose Cuomo’s replacement in the November 2 election.
Dan Donovan is the Republican candidate for State Attorney General who says that the Attorney General’s office should not be used as a stepping stone for higher office, as it has been for far too long in New York State. Dan Donovan is currently working as Staten Island’s District Attorney; the prosecutor says that if elected to the AG office, he will make it his mission to end the rampant institutionalized corruption and cronyism in New York State’s elected offices that have caused our state to earn the reputation of having the most dysfunctional government in the country.
Eric Schneiderman is the Democratic candidate for State Attorney General who promised that if elected, he’d give race baiting grievance hustler Al Sharpton’s organizations their own annex in Albany. Schneiderman, a six-term state Senator, has the backing of a veritable rogue’s gallery of shady characters and organizations known for the very types of scandal, corruption and favoritism that has made New York State a national laughingstock.
This past July, Eric Schneiderman was in an accident with a vehicle that crashed into a parked car, causing $3000 worth of damage, and then left the scene of the accident; he only came forward later, after he had been identified as having been involved. The Attorney General’s job is to uphold and enforce the law; someone involved in a hit and run does not really seem the type to be devoted to law and order if you ask me.
Dan Donovan has decades of experience fighting crime and will use those skills as Attorney General to fight the corruption which has infiltrated our state government at every level. Eric Schneiderman has a long history of entanglements with corrupt and disgraced politicians and questionable affiliations. Dan Donovan wants to eradicate the crookedness and dishonesty that is epidemic in our state government; Eric Schneiderman is a part of it.
This November, New Yorkers have a clear choice to make for their next Attorney General: Eric Schneiderman; a candidate who will work to protect the interests of George Soros, Al Sharpton, Sheldon Silver, the unions and far left organizations such as the scandal plagued Working Families Party, or Dan Donovan; a dedicated crime fighter who will work to protect the people of the state of New York from people like those mentioned above, while finally holding our elected officials accountable to the rule of law.
