After seeing numerous television commercials for the product, I ordered a Maple Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich with my coffee at a West Hartford, Connecticut Dunkin’ Donuts yesterday. I must say, I’m glad that I decided to try this sandwich.
To be honest, I like everything served at Dunkin’ Donuts stores. Their donuts are one of favorite foods and I have also enjoyed eating many of their other menu items. This breakfast sandwich is a great addition to the roster of items available at Dunkin’ Donuts stores.
Presented here, is one food writer’s product review of Dunkin’ Donuts’ Maple Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich.
The Maple Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich from Dunkin’ Donuts is a good sized sandwich. While it is not huge in physical size, it is large enough to fill me up, without leaving me feeling bloated.
The regular retail price charged for one Maple Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich at Hartford, Connecticut area Dunkin’ Donuts shops is approximately $3.38. Although I really enjoy eating this breakfast sandwich, I still think that this price is a little too high.
Several different textures are offered in Dunkin’ Donuts’ Maple Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich. First of all, the croissant that holds the sandwich is light and flaky, but it is also substantial enough to provide a solid platform for the item’s other ingredients.
The egg in this sandwich is technically a formed egg patty. The egg in the sandwich that I ate was light and fluffy and not at all rubbery, as some breakfast sandwich eggs are wont to be. The sausage patty in this sandwich is cooked just right and is free of gristle and/or any unpleasant mystery-meat byproducts.
The white cheddar cheese in Dunkin’ Donuts’ Maple Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich is nicely melted and it helps to hold the sandwich together.

Taste / Flavor
This is a very tasty breakfast sandwich. Each of the individual components is tasty enough on itsown, but when they are brought together, a taste sensation occurs. The pleasant, comfort like flavor of a good sausage, egg and cheese sandwich is enlivened by a mildly sweet maple flavor that comes from the sausage.
The egg patty and white cheddar cheese are real and they taste fresh. The croissant that holds Dunkin’ Donuts’ Maple Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich together is actually top rate. I would rank it as one of the best of the many croissants I’ve eaten. All of the ingredients work well together, creating a mellow and pleasing breakfast sandwich that is appropriately sweet and quite satisfying.
Dunkin’ Donuts’ Maple Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich is minimally packaged. My sandwich was packaged in a sturdy deli – paper wrapper. The neatly folded sandwich was further packaged in a paper bag.
Definitely one of the best – tasting breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever eaten, Dunkin’ Donuts’ Maple Cheddar Breakfast Sandwich is now available at Dunkin’ Donuts stores everywhere. Personally, I think the price is a little high and I won’t mention the nutrition facts. But, when it comes to warm, sweet and savory flavor, this sandwich delivers.
Like everything else at Dunkin’ Donuts, you know that high quality ingredients and quality standards are used.
Would I eat one of these sandwiches again ? Definitely, yes. I just wish the sandwich was about two dollars cheaper. I guess I’m used to Value Menus.
