Just off ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Comedian Margaret Cho and dance partner Louie Van Amstel dropped by for a visit on The View. Cho was the latest celebrity to be voted off the popular dance competition and between her live tour dates is making the talk show rounds.
Margaret and Louie danced a jive for the ladies of The View that was full of energy and fun. If Margaret had been as relaxed dancing on DWTS as she appeared to be on The View, she might not have gotten the boot.
Margaret related to the View’s Sherry Shepard and Elizabeth Hasselbeck how as a young child she dropped out of ballet classes upon being told by another student,” You are the fattest ballerina I have ever seen’. Cho said that was all it took for her to never dance again…until DWTS came along. Now that she has rediscovered dancing she vowed never to give it up again.
Margaret and Louie dedicated their last performance on DWTS to all the gay teens that are being bullied and harassed. On the View when asked by Shepard if the message against gay bashing got lost in the translation, the dance team agreed the message may have gotten lost.
Louie stressed that the message is not only about gay rights but labeling in general and how labels are harmful and hurt no matter if one is labeled. Margaret and Louie promised to bring the message to everyone to “stop the labeling”.
