Dyer Street Bar
5529 Dyer Street
Dallas, TX 75206-5001
When I think of a bar, I want a place where I can get a cold beer from a friendly smile and where I can actually hear the conversation I’m having with my friends. Dyer Street Bar is an uninhibitive pub for just about everyone.
There is an open patio area in the back for the smokers out there. It’s also a great spot to hang out on sunny afternoons to enjoy happy hours with your coworkers. The bar also boasts a juke box with new hits and oldies-but-goodies tunes. The shuffle board table it also a crowd favorite. And there’s even a Buck Hunter arcade game for those feeling frisky.
For the sports fans, there are multiple large screen televisions for all the sports hooligans. With the up and coming college football season rearing its inebriated head, this will be a great place to gather friends to root for your favorite teams.
On Monday nights, Dyer Street Bar hosts an open mic where all levels of comedians come to congregate, workshop, and throw down on the stage. All material is welcome and the stage is open to everyone willing to face the audience. It’s a great place for new comedians to practice stage presence and learn the in’s and out’s of the comedy scene.
Another great thing about this bar is that it’s never too crowded. You’ll never have to wonder where you need to stand to get the bartender’s attention. There’s always a place for you at the bar and the bartender is always there ready to take your order. Drink specials include $2 PBR’s on Mondays and $12 beer buckets. They also have a good variety of beers on tap.
Dyer Street Bar doesn’t make any excuses about what it has to offer. It’s a simple bar with cheap drinks with fun events. If you’re looking for a casual spot to whet your whistle without burning your wallet, then Dyer Street Bar is the place for you.
