Why is it important for a company to have a web presence, though? The first thing to say to that would be, their competitors are on the web. Since that’s true for over ninety percent of business, if a company does not have web presence, they will start to loose out on sales. Also, the customers and potential customers almost always have a web presence as well, which opens up for greater brand loyalty and can attract new customers. Right now, it’s actually extremely to give any business, no matter how much money they make, a web presence. Especially with websites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIN, it can actually be free to get the name of any business out into the internet, and increase their business. If a company wants to however, they can spend less then ten dollars a month to use a website hosting service that includes all the easy to use tools to create a website with little to know knowledge about website construction. Because of how easy it is for a business to obtain a web presence, there is absolutely no excuse for business to leave themselves out of the internet, since sales are likely to increase, if not double or triple in earnings. All in all, every business needs to at least consider obtaining some sort of presence, considering it’s inexpensive, and often times free, to do so.
Why is e-business so interesting, anyway? The most important thing to know about this is that, e-business is the fastest growing form of business today. This is because, as more and more people start getting access to the internet, and trusting services enough with their credit card information, there are more people buying online then ever. Also, it’s way more convenient for many people to buy their things online and have them shipped to their house, instead of having to drive to a store and talking to a sales person. Another reason for this is because, a lot of times, there are some fairly good discounts that are online only, so, naturally, people like to take advantage of those special discounts and rebates. E-business can also help to increase sales of traditional brick and mortar stores. The reason behind that is because, many people either don’t trust online shopping, or want to use the product before they buy it. In that way, the consumer does all the research online, then goes to the store to test out the product and buys it. Due to the fact that most businesses have increased sales when they start an e-business portion of their business, and e-business activity is rising fast, this subject is a hugely interesting topic to study.
In summary, e-business is a fast growing activity that involves many ways of interacting with other business and consumers on the web. E-business comes in two flavors, business-to-business, which consists of business interacting with each other, and business-to-consumer, which consists of business interacting with their customers. The interaction with other business most often occurs using extranets, which are secure networks that allow businesses to exchange information and keep a better relationship with them. Business-to-business is most often used on the internet, taking up around eighty to ninety percent of e-business activity, but is also seldom heard about in the consumer world. Consumer-to-consumer business only accounts for less then twenty percent of e-business, but that number is growing rapidly. Secure payment sites like PayPall, Bill Me Later, and Google Checkout are now being used to enhance the level security with customers vital information, and prevent identity fraud, which helps to increase e-business activity. Many corporate and marketing websites have product and investor information about the company, and have convenient ways like blogs and emailing to keep consumers informed about their products and services, and keep them engaged and loyal to that company. Companies like to gather information about their competitors and consumers to help drive sales and stay ahead of the competition. The reason why e-business is seeing an explosion of activity is because more people then ever have access to the internet, and spend more and more time on the internet looking information about products or talking to friends. Virtual stores also makes it incredibly easy to buy things online, sometimes even too easy. With all the advances in technology, and free or low cost services to obtain a web presence, and the fact that business increases when a business decides to do business or advertising online, it’s no wonder why e-business is quickly growing. E-business is of vital importance to most businesses now, and will only continue to grow for some time to come, as more and more business decide to jump into the internet and make themselves known online, and they can watch their profits expand from their. That is a great thing to happen to the economy, as it means the economy will increase, and business can higher new employees. In a final summary, yes, e-business is needed by most businesses to succeed and grow year over year, and be able to add customers, interact with customers, and get better deals on the products and services they need to run their business, which only means more profit.
