Eva Longoria may stick to her original plan without Tony Parker after all, Babble.com reports. The 35-year-old “Desperate Housewives” actress and Tony planned before their divorce to adopt a child from Haiti or a poor region as the beginning of their family life.
It looks as though another celebrity may opt for being a single parent following Sandra Bullock’s adoption of a baby son from New Orleans earlier this year after her divorce from Jesse James. Bullock was out of the spotlight several weeks until she surprised the world with news as big as her Oscar win that she became the mother of a beautiful boy.
Eva Longoria’s Plan is Set on Adopting Child From Haiti
“Eva had her heart set on adopting a child from Haiti,” a source told Babble. “She so wants to be a mother. She wanted to adopt with Tony, but she’s happy to go ahead as a single parent and is very excited after what’s been a dark period.”
Eva has a close bond with charity work directed towards Haiti after the January earthquake. Reports surfaced weeks prior to her divorce from Tony Parker that the couple were planning to adopt children from the devastated island. Not long after that their divorce made headlines and it wasn’t exactly civil. Another case of cheating caused an ugly divorce, although the cheating in this instance appears to be texting from what we’ve been told.
Eva’s Love for Children Far Stronger Than Painful Divorce
That’s not Eva Longoria’s only charity. The actress has helped sick Latino children through the California charity, Padres Contra El Cáncer and was inspired to adopt due to her work from there.
Eva Longoria said, “Every time I work with kids from Padres, my heart explodes with happiness and joy. They’re so inspiring,” she said. “I could only wish to have children as strong.”
Based on the plans and determination Eva had before her divorce from Tony Parker, she’s still holding strong to those dreams she had as a happily married woman. Sandra Bullock was excited to adopt Baby Louis when she divorced Jesse James and it’s a for sure thing that Eva will find the same fulfillment by adopting a boy or girl from Haiti.
