Ezekiel Bread is not your ordinary white bread. It took my children a while to get used to eating Ezekiel Bread instead of white bread, but eventually they grew to like it.
When I was growing up, I only knew of one classmate whose parents made them peanut butter and jelly on sprouted grain bread. We thought of her as a bit of a health nut.
Now I just enjoy eating toasted Ezekiel bread with fried eggs and turkey sausage. Sometimes I spread almond butter or soy nut butter on it.
Ezekiel Bread or sprouted 100 percent whole grain bread is based on the Holy Scriptures verse, “Take also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils and millet and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make bread of it,” Ezekiel 4:9.
I also love the Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted grain cereal with almonds.

No. 1: Ezekiel Bread nutritional facts: Ezekiel Bread contains no flour. It has 80 calories per slice, 0.5 grams of fat, 75 mg sodium, 4 grams of protein, zero grams of sugar, 15 grams of carbohydrates, 80 mg of potassium.
No. 2: Ezekiel Bread nutritional facts: In addition to the low calories, Ezekiel also contains nutrients such as Thiamine, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Riboflavin, Niacin, Zinc, Iron and Vitamin B 6.
No. 3: Ezekiel Bread ingredients: Ingredients in Ezekiel bread include organic sprouted wheat, filtered water, organic sprouted barley, organic sprouted millet, organic malted barley, organic sprouted lentils, organic sprouted soybeans, organic sprouted spelt, fresh yeast, organic wheat gluten and sea salt.
No. 4: Ezekiel Bread contains gluten: Although Ezekiel 4: 9 bread is not gluten-free, the company that makes the product, Food For Life Baking Company, does have gluten-free versions of its bread products. I highly recommend their rice-based breads for people on a gluten-free diet.
No. 5: Ezekiel Bread recipe: The recipe for making Ezekiel bread is special because it comes from the Bible. What people have now found is that the Ezekiel bread recipe using sprouted grains provides a complete protein and beneficial enzymes.
Here are a few Ezekiel Bread recipes I use for my children: Ezekiel bread for French Toast, Ezekiel Bread for grilled cheese. I have found we like the taste better if we toast Ezekiel bread for sandwiches including turkey, tuna and egg salad.
Ezekiel is a heartier bread with a grainer texture. It’s not white bread you can fluff into a ball! It may take a while for your children to get used to it, but it’s worth it to substitute healthy Ezekiel bread which has a glycemic index of 36.
I give it a five out of five stars for nutrition.
Just make sure to store your Ezekiel bread in the freezer so it lasts longer.
