If you’re human then you’ve made mistakes, let’s face it, we all have. And I assume you are human if you’re reading this article. When it comes to spending advertising dollars then the less mistakes you make the better the campaign will be and more profitable.
The following guide is for the giant Facebook website. Their advertising offers marketers a way to target users based on plenty of data. You don’t need to fly blind when advertising on Facebook because your target audience can be singled out with ease. But having this laser targeting feature can also cost you if you’re not careful.
First off you’ll need a good website. By a good website I mean one that leads the user into buying the product. A website with chaotic links that lead to other places may bore your user and they close the website before you ever offer the product. Many marketers create what is called a click funnel. It means that anywhere the user clicks they always end up at the buy product page. You may only have a single page website which is ok and sometimes can be very effective.
Always test your campaign. You may think you know what is best and generates the most income but you may be leaving money on the table. The internet changes daily and you’ll need to keep up with these changes to stay ahead. Test different ads and landing pages, and also test different age groups, genders, etc.. as some ads may work better for different groups. Of course, without testing different setups then you’ll never know.
Creating a relationship with your users for better conversions. Responding to their conversations and giving input on stuff can go a long way into building a good customer base. Just don’t look spammy and don’t advertise your product with every post you make. Having this relationship can give your customers that home town feel and will be more trusting of your product and can also lead to future sales of different products.
