The following women and their respective businesses are the go-to experts in Fashion, Beauty, and Trends for Fall in Los Angeles and Orange County, California.
Lori Brystan, Greer OC Style Editor-Almost every woman in Orange County California knows where to go for the latest in fashion, Dining, Beauty and Travel- GreersOC.com. Greer Wylder is the publisher and founder of Greer’s OC; a great online resource that features the best Orange County has to offer. Suggestion- whether you live in Orange County, California or Greenville, North Carolina, this is one hot spot to check out the latest trends for people looking for great products and tips on beauty. I recently consulted with Lori Brystan, Greer OC Style Editor on her picks for Make-up and Skin Care for Fall.
As beauty editor for Greer’s OC, Ms. Brystan states, “I’m all about playing with products and checking out the latest trends; high end or low end; it’s all the same to me, but our own natural beauty should be our inspiration.” That’s right; take what you’ve got and go with it. Here are Ms. Brystan’s latest tips for Autumn beauty.
California weather is very fickle this time of year, one day it’s hot, the next day cold. Ms. Brystan has a number of great ideas for keeping your skin and make-up beautiful all year long.
She suggests Chanel Les 4 Ombres De CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow Available at Nordstrom , as the essential compact that will offer a multitude of looks “for your fall smoky eye look” The compact contains mattes, frosts and satins in khaki, plum, and grey with a highlighter. To give yourself a quick eye lift, Ms. Brystan suggests curling your lashes using Mehaz Brand Curler by Planet Beauty. Ms. Brystan states,” It only takes a minute, but really makes a difference. “
We all know moisturizing in the fall is so important, and we in California are fortunate enough to wear dresses without leggings even in the fall. Lori Brystan’s not so expensive Tip: Jergen’s Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. [Writers note: I use this product also; it really does work and the price is right]
“It gives you a beautiful, natural-looking color in fabulous new formulas. If you have those lovely white spots like I do from sun damage, this will make you pull out those short dresses again!” Lori Brystan, Greer’s OC Style Editor and Proprietor of Brystan Studio- See -The Best Photographer in Orange County, Calif. Sharon Antonucci- Exquisite Hair Designs- Premier Hair Expert Orange County –Sharon Antonucci has been a favorite in Orange County for many years, with faithful clientele that put their trust in her to take care of their hair, skin and over all well being in her beautifully appointed spa. It takes a lot of trust when trying out a newer method of hair styling but you can be sure that Sharon has the overall health of your hair in mind when she works her magic. Her Recommendation for Fall is the Brazilian Blowout.
“Long hair, straight or layered, is definitely coming back into style – especially for women in their 40’s and 50’s. The style makes them feel sexy and young. The Brazilian Blowout has been very popular this year. For people who have unruly hair, this treatment is an answer to their prayers. Applied by an experienced hair stylist, the process takes an average of 2 hours to apply, dry and style. Once you have received a Brazilian Blowout treatment, styling time is cut in half and it lasts about three to four months with the use of Brazilian Blowout hair care products.” – Sharon Antonucci, Owner, Exquisite Hair Designs Salon and Spa 1617 WestCliff #212Newport Beach, Ca. Pamela Abderhalden: Curator of …Something You in Lakewood Calif.-Fall/Winter 2010-2011’s: Pamela Adberhalden suggests big neutrals: camel, khaki, and grays of all shades from charcoal to light grey. Her predictions for accent colors are reds, wines and purples. Leopard and Cheetah are in abundance, especially paired with camel, but remember; a little goes a long way! Plaid is still popular for the fall, but seems to be making much less of an appearance than in the last two or three years and has been relegated to the younger set.
Accessories are chunky, bulky and bold. Spikes and studs are on everything including belts, boots, and bracelets. Multi-layered chains and stacked bracelets balance well with all those sweaters, and that oversized cocktail ring made of natural stone. Yes – it’s still a must have addition to your accessory collection!
Ms Abderhalden suggests that some of the fall looks getting attention are crop tops, batwing tops and oversized sweaters and jackets. She says “Though it’s been awhile since we’ve seen them in any dominant way, sweaters with bulky knits and cable knits are back this year.” Also popular and so easy to wear are cardigans [writers note: Thank goodness I love cardigans] of all kinds. “Longer cardigans are being worn with skinny jeans and long boho style skirts, or even as a dress when paired with detailed tights and a pair of loafers or one of the many must have boots of the season”. …Something YOU- is located at 5532 Woodruff Ave, Lakewood, CA 90713-1535 map (562) 461-2309 For more about Something You Read: Something You: Also Read: The Best Little Dress Shop in Lakewood, California

Style2020- Personal Fashion Consultants-Boots and Bangles are the words for this fall. Style2020 Fashion Consultants suggest using a polished minimalism when choosing clothing for Fall. Falls colors once again are Black, Camel, and Grey with accents in purple, mauve and pastels. Faux Fur but in moderation are also big this Season. Anything Burberry is going to be a huge hit. Keep some of your straight legs for your boots, but the definitive jean purchase of the season is full boot cut leg with or without boots. Your clothes should fit close to the body and when shopping you should look for quality fabrics and stitching made to last. Spend your high-end money on basics like dresses, jeans, coats and boots while exercising economic prudence with your accessories.
