This item guide will cover the following ammo types in Fallout New Vegas; 12.7mm and .45-70 Government ammunition. Ammunition is used for the vast majority of ranged weapons in Fallout New Vegas, with each ammo type working for a specific set of guns. Ammo like the 12.7mm and .45-70 Government is one of the most valuable resources in Fallout New Vegas and should be treated as such. The Scrounger perk can help offset the general scarcity of ammunition, although certain types will always be hard to find. In addition, ammo like the 12.7mm and .45-70 Government ammunition can be crafted with various workstations scattered throughout the wastes.
