Week 12 of fantasy football features three Thanksgiving Day games and the opportunity to make a mark in any fantasy football league. Some big time fantasy football quarterbacks will be on display for Thanksgiving Day. Make sure that if they are on the fantasy football roster they are in the line up well before Thursday.
There are five fantasy football quarterbacks that are must starts under any circumstances. No.1) Tom Brady of the New England Patriots against the Detroit Lions secondary. No. 2) Drew Brews against the Dallas Cowboys defense that was abused by the Detroit Lions last weekend. No. 3)Phillip Rivers against the Indianapolis Colts defense. No.4) Peyton Manning against the San Diego Chargers defense. No. 5) Aaron Rodgers against the Atlanta Falcons defense.
What about Michael Vick? Be careful with this game in Chicago against his second hard hitting defense. I will not come out and say to sit Michael Vick of the Philadelphia Eagles but tread softly when looking at starting Vick. If Rodgers, Rivers or any of the top five is also on the team it may be a good time to switch up and start them in a fantasy football league. Vick was either a late draft choice in most fantasy football leagues or a waiver wire pick up. It is OK to sit him every once in a while.
Three Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Start in Week 12 of Fantasy Football
Shaun Hill: Detroit Lions
Shaun Hill and the Detroit Lions offense are on the most under rated units in the NFL. From a fantasy football stand point Shaun Hill is a perfect back up for key fantasy football situations. For those playing in fantasy football leagues where side bets are prevalent, Hill is a great situational bet in this game against the New England Patriots.
The Patriots will win decisively in this Thanksgiving Day game but Hill will load up on fantasy football points trying to close the gap. Start Shaun Hill in all fantasy football leagues unless one of the top five fantasy football quarterbacks above are on the team.
Eli Manning: New York Giants
Eli Manning is in a perfect spot for this game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is in a home game at the Meadowlands and he is looking to re-establish his New York Giants as the torch holder of the NFC East title. Manning is a gamer and he will be looking to erase the memory of his dismal first half against the Philadelphia Eagles in a nationally televised game.
Manning picked up the pace in the second half but that was predicated on the defense and nothing special by the offense. Start Eli Manning in all fantasy football leagues unless the one of the top six players above are on the fantasy football roster.
Mark Sanchez: New York Jets
Believe it or not, Mark Sanchez is now a legitimate fantasy football quarterback. He has been derailed all season as incompetent and below average as far as fantasy football quarterbacks go but now he has grown into the role of NFL quarterback. Sanchez has learned the one quality all great NFL quarterbacks know. Escapability.
Sanchez has become an elusive and fleet footed quarterback and it has raised his fantasy football value. Start Mark Sanchez in all fantasy football leagues unless one of the top seven quarterbacks above are on the fantasy football roster.
Three Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Sit in Week 12 of Fantasy Football
Carson Palmer: Cincinnati Bengals
Carson Palmer has thrown up some big numbers in garbage time of major losses this fantasy football season but this New York Jets defense is too proud to let that happen in this game. Palmer will be assailed from the outset of this nationally televised game on Thanksgiving Night. Palmer will be lucky if he can complete 200 yards passing and one touchdown.
Palmer has been a good soldier for many fantasy football owners but in this game he will meet his match. Sit Carson Palmer in all fantasy football leagues unless the next best option is ranked 12th or less among fantasy football quarterbacks.
Jay Cutler: Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears offensive line has been a major factor in Jay Cutler’s struggles this season and a major source of frustration for Cutler’s fantasy football owners. Cutler has had some big days in his career but this game on his home turf is one that will keep him under wraps. Sit Jay Cutler in all fantasy football leagues unless the next best option ranks 13th or less among fantasy football quarterbacks.
Josh Freeman: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Josh Freeman has been a nice second option quarterback for fantasy football owners this season. This game against the Baltimore Ravens is definitely not a good spot for him. Although Freeman has led his team to seven wins this season, this match up against the fired up Baltimore Ravens will lead to one of his worst performances of his career. Sit Josh Freeman in all fantasy football leagues unless the next best option is ranked 16th or less in the fantasy football quarterback rankings.
