Fantasy Football 2010 Week 8: NFL Best Start/Sit Quarterback Q & A

by bogbit

Week eight of fantasy football will be an interesting one for fantasy football owners with six teams on a bye week and two more teams headed to London, England. There will be some interesting developments over the next week on AFC South teams, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans.

The Jaguars started Todd Bauman last weekend and he was more than serviceable in the Jaguars loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Tennessee Titans will have to decide if Vince Young can take his time returning to the starting line up after Kerry Collins has led them to two wins in his absence.

Three Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Start in Week Eight of Fantasy Football

Tony Romo: Dallas Cowboys (Edited After Monday Night Football)

Backup Jon Kitna will be in for the injured Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys for this game. This game against the Jacksonville Jaguars should have little or no pressure for Kitna and he should do well with one week of practice with the first team offense. Jon Kitna is a top fantasy football quarterback start in week eight of fantasy football unless there is a top five fantasy football quarterback on the roster.

Sam Bradford: St Louis Rams

Sam Bradford and the St Louis Rams will host the Carolina Panthers who looked much better in their game against the San Francisco 49ers. Bradford still looked solid for the Rams in his game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but went down with the ship in the loss. Sam Bradford is a good fantasy football start unless there is a top five fantasy football quarterback on the roster.

Donovan McNabb: Washington Redskins

Donovan McNabb is facing his third NFC North team when the Washington Redskins take on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. McNabb has meshed well with his new offensive coordinator, Kyle Shanahan, former architect of the Houston Texans offense. McNabb will have to stay away from the menacing defensive line of the Detroit Lions if he wants to have a decent day. Start Donovan McNabb in week eight of fantasy football unless there is a top six fantasy football quarterback on the roster.

Three Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Sit in Week Eight of Fantasy Football

Aaron Rodgers: Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers are coming off an emotional win over Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings. Now the Packers play a New York Jets defense that is coming off a bye week. Rodgers is not as strong on the road and it will make sense to sit Rodgers in this game. Sit Aaron Rodgers in week eight of fantasy football unless the next best fantasy football quarterback on the roster is tenth or worse.

Matt Hasselbeck: Seattle Seahawks

Matt Hasselbeck and the Seattle Seahawks head into Oakland to play the Oakland Raiders on Halloween. Nothing is scarier than the Oakland Raiders “Black Hole” and Hasselbeck and his rag tag group of receivers will have a hard time with Nnamdi Asomugha and company. Sit Matt Hasselbeck in week eight of fantasy football unless the next best fantasy football quarterback option is 12th or worse.

Matt Schaub: Houston Texans

The Indianapolis Colts will be looking for revenge in this game after being humiliated in Houston to start the season. The Houston Texans element of surprise is gone and Matt Schaub will have difficulty setting up the play action pass for this game. Sit Matt Scahub in week eight of fantasy football unless the nest best fantasy football quarterback on the roster is 13th or worse.
