Find good books for kids so you can read quality books to your youngsters. And when children are older and can read themselves, choose the right books for them so they learn as well as enjoy reading. There are ways to learn about which books are good choices so everyone’s time is well spent.
Ask a Librarian
Go to the library and ask the children’s librarian for recommendations of books for your child. Whatever the age group, they can direct you to books that will delight you and your child. Ask them about Newbery Award Winners for books that are sure to please.
Go to WiseReading.com
WiseReading is a Web site with short book recommendations of children’s books. Wise Reading’s tagline is “A smarter guide to the universe of children’s books.”
A short review is provided followed by a warning section that is titled “Watch Out For.” Children’s books reviewed include age groups ranging from Pre-School and Early Readers to Reading Level 7-8.
Check Out NPR’s Best Books
