First Down and Ten
Blue Grass University Cougars
This is WKYC broadcasting live from Cougar Stadium in the Blue Grass Capital City. I am your host, J. Master P. This is Homecoming 2010 opening night and the largest pep rally bon fire in the country. Texas A & M, you can’t touch this. Our sizzle make you fizzle. Go Cougars!
The Blue Grass University Cougars are already ranked number one in all national polls by sports writers and coaches for the 2010 Season. Coach E. got the Cougars ready babee!
Playas and playaettes, get yo party ears on you. It’s about to get loud up in here. What’s that sound? What’s that noise? It sounds like Cougars at the gate.
The stadium lights go off. The big drums beat and the snare drums roll. A single torch can be seen at the north entrance to the field. The sound of big cat growls, roars, ands scratches pervade the stadium. The torch is moving.
The stadium announcer got this from here but like the Governor of Caleeefourneeyah says, “I’ll be back.”
The voice of the stadium announcer says, “Ladies and Gentlemen, stand to your feet and make some noise, the Bluegrass University Cougars are in the houuuuuussssssse!”
Silhouettes of the team reveal themselves in the glow of the single torch as the team makes their way across the field towards the pit to light the bonfire. Coach E., the first coach in the country to win back to back championship titles three years in a row leads the team across the field. Will he make it a fourth?
The team surrounds the pit where in moments the fires will rage like hungry Cougars on the prowl for blood. Coach E. throws the torch in the pit. The fire erupts. Fireworks explode all around the stadium as helicopters descend on the field.
The undefeated Cougars of 1986 step out to thunderous applause. The 86 Team is being celebrated this homecoming for the first undefeated season leading to a national football championship. Everybody looks for Quarterback Drake Clemmons to step into the spotlight to receive a standing ovation.
Midnight Blue takes the stage amid the high octane atmosphere through the thick fog spinning off the dry ice being blown onstage with laser light show bouncing of the fog. The Blue is dressed like the grand funksters of the 1970’s and 80’s.
Their latest hit is the Cougar Maul. Cougars move through the fog like the owoooh she wolf girl Shakira and maul the stage with their sexy crawls and growls. Did they just drop their tops? Fireworks explode like the 4th of July on the Potomac around the stadium and Midnight Blue goes loud as the bon fire climbs higher and higher in the sky.
Students begin to run from the bonfire. They seem to be screaming at the top of the voices and look frightened.
The performance comes to a halt. The stadium lights come up and the state police storm on the field. The announcer on the public address system reports, “Ladies and Gentlemen, Please keep your seats. There has been an incident on the field. Do not hamper emergency responders. You will get more information shortly. The State Police have ordered that nobody may move.
This is WKYC J. Master P. back with breaking news from Twitter. A body found in the fire at Bluegrass U pep rally is believed to be QB of the 1986 Cougars, Drake Clemmons. The tweet ends with the words, “First down and ten.”
