One of the reason people travel to Ibiza is for the beaches, the sand and the clear water and the sunshine during summer. Ibiza, is an island in the Mediterranean Sea and it is the third largest of the Balearic Islandstwo Pine Islands. and has an autonomous community; with the island of Formentera, it is one of the
The following are five of the must see beaches on the island of Ibiza in Spain.
Playa D’en Bossa: This beach is pretty long extending of about 2 kilometers and the stretch near the Mare Nostrum and other hotels is the best if you like to lie down on the sand and with little or no sounds (but the ones of nature) around. The water is clear and you can actually see little fish moving around, but it is cold which is perfect for when you need to refresh yourself from the sun.
Las Salinas: This is a must as well; it is about ten minutes from Ibiza Town and you can get there by bus or cab, named after the salt lakes in the south of Ibiza (and the islands salt is very famous), and the beaches has a long boarder of pine woods.
Bora Bora: This beach is best to visit starting in the late afternoon because it is full of life, there is a deejay and music playing so it is more of a fun beach, also the actual beach itself gets dirty by the tourists that do not care too much about it, so I would not suggest it for sunbathing and swimming but it is good for people watching and having fun dancing and if you do not mind the airplanes that fly so low since the airport is five minutes away.
Figueretes: Figueretes or Ses Figuretes as known by the locals is also a must-see, the beaches are also not too far from Ibiza Town, just fifteen minutes away and you can relax on the sandy beach and the clear water with a backdrop of a promenade of palms, making it seem almost tropical, standing in front of bars and hotels.
Es Canar: This beach is five kilometers from Santa Eulalia, which is more north of the island and has a bit less tourists than the southern part, and the beach here is shallower than the other parts, which makes it a better spot for a family to enjoy.
