The City of Seattle now provides free concerts once in a while at the City Hall for the cultural society of Seattle to enjoy. All music provided is of different styles, tastes and likes.
The Concerts are always held at 12:00 noon either outside of city hall or in the lobby. Anything from Country and folk music to Persian is played for the enjoyment of all who desire to attend the noon concert.
For the fall season, the City Hall is hosting the following concerts:
On October 21st 2010 the Starlings will bless your ears with some country and folk music. On November 4th poetry and Persian music will fill the air. Also in November Cajun zydeco will grace the hall with a different beat. This group is called Whozyamama. On December 2nd Gail Pettis will spice the hall up with some jazz vocals. Lastly, but not least On December 16th Flappers will come back for a taste of the past as 1920’s swing echoes through City Hall. Miss Rose and her Rhythm Peculators will light up your lunch hour with satisfying musical fun.
Please feel free stop by and pick up a lunch somewhere and take it to the city hall for your lunch break and enjoy the music provided to you by the city of Seattle. The experience of listening to different cultural music will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after a rough morning in the office. So go ahead and come to 600 4th Avenue where the concerts where healing music will fill your ears and you can let go of the days worries.
If the concerts are inside you can sit on the steps and take a moment out and meditate to the music. Let the blissful beat take you away for the hour long concert.
