Final Fantasy has been a gamer favorite since the game first made its debut on the original NES system over twenty years ago. Fans of the game have followed its progression throughout the years and with the explosion of MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games), it has been wondered when the Final Fantasy version would be hitting the online community. Final Fantasy has notoriously avoided this market and has kept their games targeted to gaming systems. The good news is for those who have been waiting so patiently, they need not worry as there is now the Final Fantasy XIV Online game out in the Beta version.
While the Beta version is free at this time to play as long as the company gives the gamer permission to play it. The game is slated to be released in March of 2011 in its entirety. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is in the range of sixty dollars for the full version of the game. This is comparable to other Final Fantasy games that have been released in the past only gamers can play this one without ever beating it. This means endless Final Fantasy fun while playing online with other gamers from around the world.
Some of the same aspects of all the original games are brought to this one and it takes place in the same world of Hydaelyn, the city of Eorzea is the place where many of the epic battles take place. People and monsters are drawn to this place without quite knowing why they want to go there. Some of the aspects of game play for Final Fantasy XIV Online are:
• Armory System – This system is a direct influence on the gamers’ character through the game play.
• Separate Disciplines – There are four disciplines that the gamer can choose from and there are classes within them.
• Easy Equipping – In order to equip and use an item, it just needs to be picked up and once it is equipped, all of the powers that it holds belong to the character with no leveling up required using them.
Many of the great aspects of all of the previous Final Fantasy games are brought together in the Beta version of Final Fantasy XIV Online. For RPG and MMORPG fans, this game could not come out at a better time. Many may have a hard time waiting for March in order to play it.PS3.IGN.com Final Fantasy XIV Online
