Get to know one of Dallas’ hottest night life areas at the second annual Taste of Greenville Avenue festival later this month.
Sponsored by Bud Light, the festival will showcase the best of Greenville Avenue’s restaurants, bars and businesses on Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 5700 Richmond Avenue at Greenville.
Visitors can grab a taste of nearly every hot Greenville spots’ grub. The Greenville Avenue Restaurant Association will be showcasing the food of more than 30 eateries, all for only $2 per serving.
Local musicians will entertain guests throughout the day. Featured musicians will include Cliff Blues Band, King Bucks, Chameleon Chamber Group, Ricki Derek & the Vegas Six and The Backsliders. KRLD deejay Mike Rogers will emcee.
A jalapeno-eating contest, local school choirs and bands and Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert will also hit the Taste of Greenville Avenue stage. Leppert has announced Oct. 23 as the official Taste of Greenville Avenue Day in Dallas.
ArtLoveMagic, an organization that supports and promotes local artists and musicians, will also be on hand at the event.
