Get ready for Halloween this year with the Haight’s own Haunted Haight Walking Tour. Learn a little bit about the macabre history of San Francisco as you soak in the area’s ghost stories and ghost-hunting epics. Find out where infamous murders occurred and see where cult leaders called home on this two-hour tour that ends at a haunted pub.
You can bring the little ones but it’s not recommended for anyone under the age of 13 since the tour lasts about two hours. Photos are allowed but there is no videotaping. The tour is wheelchair accessible. Well-behaved pets are encouraged as there are two park stops on the tour.
If you bring 10 or more people, you can get $2 off per person but there are no discounts or group rates available over Halloween week. Make sure you make reservations and order your tickets online ahead of time.
The tour starts in front of Coffee to the People at 1206 Masonic at Haight. Tickets are still available most Friday and Saturday nights in October. Tour dates also available in November in December but on a more limited basis.
The admission fee is $20 per person and includes a free guidebook and map and a chance to win spooky prizes.
