Glee GQ photos in the latest issue are causing quite a stir. These Glee GQ photos, including both Lea Michele and Dianna Agron scantily clad, are causing controversy because the actresses play teens on Glee. Some parents have found the Glee GQ photos to have gone too far, and they aren’t staying quiet with their opinions. It is creating a debate about actresses that are much older than the characters that they play, and what they can or cannot do when they are trying to promote themselves or the show. It’s a debate that isn’t going to be settled either, because both sides are adamantly entrenched with their positions.
We linked the Glee GQ photos at the end of the article, and even the cover of the latest issue of GQ is drawing some controversy. There are three people featured in the article, all three of which have important roles on Glee. Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, and Cory Monteith all participated in the photo shoot, most of which takes place in a high school setting. On the show Michelle plays Rachel Berry, Agron plays Quinn Fabray, and Monteith plays Finn Hudson. The show started with Quinn sating Finn, but now Rachel and Finn are the couple during season two of the show.
This issue of GQ takes a lead from the relationships they have had on the show, and seeks to “sex” up the cover. Monteith is in the center of the photo, one arm around each lady, with his hand on each of their butt’s. Michelle has one of her legs up and draped over Monteith, while her second hand is on the waist of Agron. Oh and did we mention that Michelle is basically just wearing heels, panties, and a bra? The pictures evolve from that shot, with both Agron and Michelle showing off their sexuality, and Michelle doing so in the locker room. Not exactly what most parents would want to see their teens doing to say the least.
This photo shoot has done two things for these three characters, but both of them aren’t going to be positive for the show. On one hand, the sex appeal of all three characters has been increased a lot, but on the other hand, this could end up creating a void of viewers who had been tuning in to the show expecting something full of family values. Did the Glee photo shoot go too far? Or is it the right of these three actors to do any type of photo shoot that they want, as they are all 24 years of age or older? The debate isn’t going to be settled tonight; that’s for sure.
