Sue approaches Schuester and tells him about herself being featured in “Splits” magazine. She then requests a copy of Schuester’s set list for the Glee club. He assures he that she’ll get a copy. Schuester continues to be suspicious of Sue. During practice, Britney is taking either a photo or video of their practices and Britney tells Schuester that “Sue didn’t tell me to do this..” looking very sheepish. Schuester is convinced Sue is leaking their set list and videos of their routines to their competition.
Schuester pays a visit to the girl’s reform school that they’ll be competing against. Schuester goes through the metal detectors to speak to one of the administrators, played by Eve. She tells him that just because it’s a girl’s reform school, dosen’t mean they are liars or theifs. Schuester apologizes telling him that he’s really sorry and wants to make it up to her by letting them use the auditorium.
The girls from Jane Adam’s school put on a performance for the Glee club that is both impressive but overly sexual with the song “bootylicious.” It becomes apparent that the group is a little uncomfortable with the girls from Jane Adams’ performance. Rachel tells him that he seems worried, but they have nothing to be afraid of because they were using “hairography,” which is just hiding behind smoke and mirrors, distracting from the real song and dance.
Schuester announces that they are now doing a song for sectionals from the musical “Hair.” Rachel tells him they don’t need to resort to “hairography,” but Schuester tells her that he’s worried about their chances after seeing the Jane Adams girls perform.
Puck got Quinn a pregnancy book. Quinn tells him it’s sweet and that now she’s not sure what she’s going to do about the baby anymore and that her mind is a mess right now. Quinn then starts to ponder her feelings towards Puck and wonders if may she dosen’t want to have the baby with Finn and not just in general. She wants to spend more time with Puck, but needs to figure out a way to distract Finn.
Quinn approached Kirk, asking him if he’ll give Rachel a makeover. Kirk is a hesistant but reluctantly takes the task on.
Schuester touches his wifes hair while they’re laying in bed and she gets angry and accuses him of wanting to have sex. She calms down and the two go to sleep after Schuester tells her it will all be worth it after the baby is born. Terri decides that she needs to buy some more time and needs to distract Schuester.
Kirk starts Rachel’s makeover process by waxing Rachel’s eyebrows. Kirk tells her how amazing of a performer she is, but that she’s not always the nicest person. Kirk tells her he wants to make every boy do a double take when they walk by. Rachel confesses that she’s in love with Finn, and tells Rachel he’ll help her get him with a brand new look.
Terri bought a car that was identical to the one that Schuester tok her on their first date in, giving him a fixer upper to work on. Terri and her sister Kendra meet up with Quinn where Quinn tells them that she is keeping her baby. The adoption is off.
Schuester approaches the Glee club leader of the deaf school. The leader feels left out since Jane Adams was left out and that Schuester should have invited their Glee club as well. The leader has some issues hearing Schuester which makes the conversation a little awkward and frustrating.
Terri is in her living room telling Kendra that they can’t keep the charade up anymore and that she has to tell him. Kendra tells him that the car is great distraction, but Terri is still worried like crazy. Kendra tells her that they can still convince Quinn to give her baby up when they force the reality of her situation on her. Terri wonders if it will really work but Kendra assures her it will because Quinn needs money.
Rachel shows up to school with a whole new look in a short, form fitting black dress. Finn’s attention is caught immediately with Rachel’s new look and she invites him over. Finn asks Quinn if she’s okay with him doing something on Friday and she tells him it’s fine because she’s babysitting. Quinn asks Puck if he wants to babysit with her.
In Glee practice Britney explains what “hairography” is and demonstrates it for the club, describing it as “cool epilepsy.” During practice, Schuester sees Sue and follows her and accuses her of spying on them. Sue is outraged. Sue criticizes him for resorting to the use of “hairography.” Sue tells Schuester that if she gets his set list and there is any ridiculous hair tossing, then she’ll cut the number.
Finn is at Rachel’s house and dresses like Sandy from Grease and suggests that they do a number from Grease. Finn is obviously nervous and having difficulty dealing with his feelings toward Rachel. Finn interupts her in the middle of the number and tells her that she looks like a “sad clown hooker,” and that he likes how she looked before. Rachel is a little embarassed, but Finn tells her that he just had this conversation with Kirk and told him he liked more natural looking girls without the skintight clothes. Finn tells Rachel that he really likes but he has to go.
While babysitting, Quinn and Puck manage to get tied up by Kendra’s three kids. After getting themselves untied, they calm the kids down by offering to show them a “real life music video” and they perform “Papa Don’t Preach” for the kids. The kids tell her to sing the song again and they do. Kendra returns home impressed that the kids are all asleep, and that Quinn was able to get all three kids to take a bath. Puck tells Quinn that she did awesome with the kids and that they’ve proven they really can be parents.
Rachel confronts Kirk about having set her up with Finn by making her the opposite of what Finn told Kirk he liked in a girl. Rachel is quite obviously upset and tells Kirk that no matter what, she’ll always be ahead of him because she’s a girl.
Quinn is accosted by a cheerleader who tells her to back off of her man and that while Quinn and Puck were babysitting, she was “aexting” Puck. Quinn looks upset.
The Glee club invited the Deaf school glee club and pefrmed a song for them using the “hairography,” but it dosen’t go over well with the competition, who think that they look crazy during their performance. The competition puts on a good show and claps, while Schuester starts to look even more worried about their standing than before. The deaf school’s glee club performs their own routine, signing the entire song, and comining it with dance. During the performance, Mercedes begins to sing along with them, and the rest of the Glee club joins in as well.
Quinn storms up to Puck’s locker and snatches his cell phone looking through his text messages. Quinn is upset with what she’s found. Puck explains that he wants to be with her but she hasn’t put out for him since the night she got knocked up.
Quinn approaches Terri telling her that she can have the baby. Quinn wants the baby to have a good father and she knows that Puck isn’t it. Schuester walks in and Terri claims that they’re exchanging pregnancy stories. Quinn leaves but before leaving, she hugs Schuester, looking realling emotional for a moment.
Schuester takes Terri to the garage and shows her that he trades the car for enough to make a down payment on a minivan; a car the entire family can use.
Quinn approaches Finn and asks him if they can be in love again. Finn tells Quinn they need to be honest with each other, and that he was at Rachel’s house. He told her nothing happened, but that he only wants to be with Quinn. She thanks him for being honest with her and he tells her that he loves her. Quinn hugs him and Rachel sees the couple walk by together, looking happy. She and Kirk, both having seen them, exchange sad looks across the hallway.
Schuester approaches Sue telling her he owes her an apology and gives her a copy of the new set list. Schuester tells the Glee club that they are ditching the “hairography,” and that they’re starting from scratch. Sue is then shown giving the set list to the leaders of both competing groups. The other leaders are offended but Sue tries to play on their emotions and fear of losing it all.
While practicing “True Colors” it becomes obvious that Finn’s feelings for Rachel are blooming, just as Quinn’s are for Puck.
