With a family of 6, we are often overwhelmed with how to put enough food on the table, meal planning, and finding new dinners we all like. It can get monotonous and frustrating. It can also be costly when you don’t plan ahead, because you can run out of food, buy food that you can’t use before it goes bad, or have side dishes left over and no main dishes. It can all be confusing and with coupons, discount cards, it can get stressful for families to try and organize their shopping system.
The good news is there are several new and very helpful websites that help big or busy families, as well as couples find low prices and planned meals for just a few bucks a month! Well worth all the time and hassle of trying to do it on your own. Check out these websites for yourselves and see if any will work for your family.
This website has a big facebook following, which means it works. Dedicated followers seeking you out on facebook is a great sign of approval in my book. This program costs $5.00 a month, billed every 3 months. They offer meal plans, with 7 family dinner recipes each week. The neatest part is that they pull the meals to match the prices and sales at the local grocery store you go to. Currently they offer many stores, Ralphs in Southern California, Kroger, Publix, Wal-mart, ALDI and a generic any store plan. They match up the store prices that go on sale each week and create a dinner with the items and then it generates a recipe sheet and meal planner for you, plus a handy shopping list for each recipe, with price and details regarding everything you need to pull off the plan. No coupons needed.
For a family of 6 to eat dinner every night for 7 days, the cost of everything on the list is about $70. Which is a great price for a nice sit down dinner. They have great options also for couples, low carbs, points, low fat, and vegetarian diets for families and couples as well. The website is top notch, designed to be user friendly and they offer a great service, plus a chance to easily try new meals your family might enjoy and save time and money while doing it!

Food on the Table
This is similar to the above plan, but you can actually choose which store exactly that you want to shop at, and you can do more than one store, it will search your location and you can choose which store or stores you want to go to. It will create 3 meal plans for you for free, and if you want to do up to 7, you need to upgrade to the service. This system lets you compare sale prices at other stores, which is fantastic and a very useful tool that is almost worth the price alone, if you have several stores near you and they all vary in price. It also gives you an organized grocery list for your store, you can add your own personal items to the list and they will check those prices for you as well. You have access to 100 recipes each week with the free membership and over 1,000 with the upgraded membership. You can even add your own personal recipes into the meal plan to rotate into your meal planning guide. It also offers nutrition information and ingredient filter. You can share with your friends on facebook any great recipes you find. It also has a great feature in which you pick the types of meats your family likes, so it knows what recipes to pull. This is a very important feature for picky eaters and those who don’t eat fish, beef, etc. This is a helpful website and it is a great investment for your family.
