Boogerwoods Howl-o-Ween Spectacular
If words like ‘Boogervator’, and ‘Booger Oil’ grab your attention you gotta go to Boogerwoods, a scary and popular attraction that has scared the socks off folks for over three decades. Runs only five nights, so make plans early for this guided event. Just don’t let Jason grab you! October 22-23, 28-30.

The Haunted Mill
Think you’re too bad to be scared? Think again, my friend, because The Haunted Mill will pick you up and wring you out like an old dirty dishrag. The chills begin September 24-25 and and continue October 1-2, 8-10, 14-17, 21-24, 27-31. Also, visit Purple Planet 3-D Mini Golf at the same location at a combo price.

The Campground Massacre Haunted House
Hmm, you know you’re in for a scary time when you’re referred to as victim instead of visitor. But being scared is what Halloween is all about, so make your way to The Campground Massacre Haunted House and Mina’s Mansion to experience life in a horror movie.Opens October 1-2, and runs 8-9, 14-17, 21-24,27-31.

Terror By the Creek
A hundred years ago. An old gristmill. Twenty-five workers murdered. That’s how Terror By the Creek in Lincolnton, NC got its start, and now you can test your bravery by going to the scene of the crime.

The Spencer Mountain Haunted Mansion
Yikes! Even the website for The Spencer Mountain Haunted Mansion is scary–so what will the real thing be like? Find out because this mansion might really be haunted because some ghostly sighting have occurred over the last couple of years. Goosebumps, anyone?

SCarowinds Halloween Haunt
Come September, Carowinds, an amusement park bordering North and South Carolina, turns into Scarowinds, the scariest place in the Southeast. Eleven horrifying attractions, including Camp Killuaee, Dead Inn, Feeding Frenzy, The Cemetery and The Playground–and it’s not for the kids–not recommended for anyone under age 13. Do you dare? Hickory Grove Haunted Trail
They’re waiting for you. At least that’s what I hear from the ghouls at Hickory Grove Haunted Trail. And what’s not to shriek about? Starting weekends in October, they’ll be lurking behind the trees and prowling through the bushes, not to mention their maze, which is “one of the longest, darkest mazes in the state. They’ve had 16 years in Gaston County to perfect the are scaring the daylights out of you. October 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 21-24, 27-31.
