It is the thrill and suspense of it all; not knowing what may or may not jump out at you or what is lurking behind each corner. Of course most people know it is staged, therefore getting scared of it can be a lot of fun!
From haunted hayrides to walk-through haunted houses, there are quite a few attractions in Maryland to choose from if you want to plan out a spooky night with your loved ones. Here are three Halloween events to do in Maryland, along with a little information on each attraction.
Cox Point Mansion.
The Cox Point Mansion is held at Cox Point Park, which is located at 800 Riverside Drive Essex, MD 21221. It is a small haunted attraction, but it is a good one! A tour guide will walk you through the mansion as you see scary people and monsters!
Kim’s Krypt is located at 1748 Merritt Blvd. Dundalk, MD 21222. Kim’s Krypt is a walk-through haunted house that has much more to it than monsters jumping out at you! Some of the attractions change per year, but you can see all sorts of monsters and attractions, original and from both past and current horror movies! Some attractions that have been included in the past are Saw, The Exorcist, Beetlejuice, and more! The walk-through is about 25-30 minutes long and there may be some strobe lights.
Legends of The Fog.
The Legends of The Fog is located at 500 Carsins Run Road, Aberdeen, MD, 21001. There are four different attractions at the Legends of The Fog, and they are as follows:
The Haunted Hayride.
The Haunted Hayride takes you on a scary ride through-out Carsin’s Village. During this hayride, you will see local legends such as Rip Saw and Maggie Rose, or well-known monsters and killers, such as Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees. Be careful, as you never know who may try to reach towards or even jump on the hayride!
The Maze of Darkness.
There are not any monsters in the Maze of Darkness. But there are not lights either. It is just you, your family and friends, and the lights from the moon, stars, and lights through-out the Legends of The Fog location. This is not just any Maze of Darkness either. It is a dark corn maze that spells out the words “Legends of The Fog”. Can you find your way out of the Maze of Darkness?
The Sinister Circus.
Are you brave enough to go through The Sinister Circus? This spooky funhouse is full of scary optical illusions and clowns. Use your mind to help you escape this sinister funhouse!
Events and attractions such as the ones mentioned on this list can give you a night of scares and fun! Who knew it was possible to have fun while getting scared?
When checking out the Halloween events to do in Maryland, it is best to decide in advance if the events will be suitable for children. Some children may love it, while others may become upset. This can also be said for some adults, as not everyone enjoys getting too scared.
Once you find an attraction that is suitable for everyone who is planning to go with you, plan out the night and get ready to have some fun….and scares!
