Atlanta is a fun place to celebrate Halloween with the Chambers of Terror event and the Fright at Six Flags. But if you live in the North East suburbs, you don’t have to travel all the way to Atlanta for Halloween fun. There are numerous Halloween Happenings in Gwinnett County that you can enjoy.
Halloween in Duluth GA:Halloween on the Green is held on October 23rd at 4pm at the Duluth GA Town Green in Downtown Duluth. Activities include a carnival, hay rides, a costume contest, a cemetery train ride, and Spooky Orchestra Concert performed by Duluth High School students. There is also a Haunted tour of the nearby Red Clay Theater at 6pm, and an 8pm SPOOKTACULAR showing of Micheal Jackson’s “Thriller” and an 8:30 pm showing of of “Casper”. Bring canned goods (2 per person) or $2.00 for admission.
TheTrain or Treat Festival on October 30, 2010 is held at the Southeastern Railway Museum n Duluth GA. There will be trick or treating on decorated train cars, a costume contest, storytelling, a special craft, and train rides.

Halloween in Lawrencville GA: The Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation, Page2Stage productions, and Stacey Sparks Events is having “The Haunting on the Square” a murder mystery dinner. This event will take place at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse in downtown Lawrenceville. The even is recurring every Friday in October from 7 to 9 pm. A buffet dinner is included at the cost of $30.00 per Gwinnett County resident and $50.00 for non residents. Participants must be 16 and older, and you can reserve a table at a discount. “Terror in the Square” is held from October 30 to November 6, 2010 at the Lawreneville Square Shopping Center. There promises to be 3 terrifying attractions and a movie.
“Lawrenceville Ghost Tours” is held on Oct 30 and 31 at the Aurora Theater where there will be walking tours that talk about the rich American Culture, Civil War Stories, and para-normal activity.
Halloween in Suwannee GA: There is a Trek or Treat event on Oct. 30 at 11 am at Suwanee Creek Park where families can enjoy safe, family trick-or-treating.
Halloween in Stone Mountain: This year the 8th Annual Pumpkin Festival will be held on October 01, 2010 – October 31, 2010 at Crossroads in Flowery Branch and Stone Mountain Park.
Enjoy the 25th Annual A Tour of Southern Ghosts on October 30 – 31, 2010 at the Antebellum Plantation in Stone Mountain Park. The event will have authentic story tellers teaching about the rebellious ghosts of the Civil and Revolutionary wars.
