Russell Stover Caramel & Marshmallow in Milk Chocolate Pumpkin is something that I had never tried before when it came to Halloween candy. This candy comes in a single package that is net wt. 1 oz. This candy was on sale at my local Walgreens for 29 cents. It normally cost 59 cents.
This candy comes with one per package. It is shaped like a pumpkin and the outside looks like pure chocolate. One piece comes in each package and has 120 calories which 40 of come from fat. It also contains 5mg cholesterol, 40mg sodium, 20g carbohydrate, 15g sugars, and 4.5g of fat. It has been produced on equipment shared with peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, and wheat for anyone allergic to these things.
This candy is very rich. When I bit into it, I was shocked by the sugar taste in my mouth. I know I should have been expecting it, but I was a little bit overwhelmed. It has chocolate all over it. Once you bite into it, you notice a thin layer of carmel at the top. Underneath this layer of carmel is a thick layer of marshmallow. It is similar to a marshmallow cream.
I personally thought I would really enjoy this one reading the label. The marshmallow taste was not what I was looking for in this product. The carmel was amazing. The marshmallow was just sugar sweet, but did not really give me the taste of a normal marshmallow. I think if it had a little bit more carmel it would have been better. The chocolate melted all over my hand anytime I tried to hold it for a second. I personally will not purchase this again, but some people might like it. I was glad I got a good deal on it because I threw 3/4 of the product in the trash.
