Critics and fans are praising what SEGA has done for the PSP system this time around. And that my friends, is Valkyria Chronicles II or otherwise known in Japan as, Battlefield Valkyria 2: Gallian Royal Military Academy. It has graced the system in Japan on January 21st, August 31st in North America, and it will be free to the public in Europe on September 3rd.
The setting is the WWII era in the fictional land of Gallia in which you play as anti military-savvy adolescent Avan Hardis. He enlisted into a military academy only to avenge his brother Leon’s death and to restore order to his life.
In terms of an innovative tactical RPG, it enables single and multiplayer mode to entice the player with its BLiTZ fighting system used for the various combat settings and more. The player is also allowed to browse through each character’s skills and weaknesses to progressively level them up as the story unfolds. As with most class-based RPG’s, this one is choc full of them and you will need to determine which character will suit you best in combat. Some classes included are the Armored Soldiers, Snipers, Engineers, Shocktroopers, Anti-tank Lancers, and Scouts.
This game has not only wowed the crowd with its soft and artistic color scheme, but also with its addicting and creative gameplay.
This game was rated B by CERO and T by the ESRB. It costs $39.99, so find it now at Amazon online, Fry’s Electronics, Gamestop, or at any other videogame retail store.
Enjoy and happy gaming from Charlie!
