Lewis and Dan both wanted to crash in Savannah and Marti’s room. Savannah got stressed out because she didn’t want Dan in her bed while Lewis and Marti were cozy sharing Marti’s bed. Savannah decided she needed to not be a virgin anymore and decided to do it with Dan. But she wanted to make sure that Marti didn’t have feelings for Dan and Marti assured her that she didn’t. Marti then told Savannah about her first time and that it wasn’t planned and just happened in the back of a car. Marti told Savannah to just relax around Dan and not plan things out so much. Savannah got suspicious and said she sounded just like Dan.
Meanwhile Alice had to go along with BF Jake to a football-team puff-piece interview. Jake tried to make the cheerleaders seem like hanger-ons but Alice promptly butted into the interview and told the reporter the real story behind the Hellcats. Hell yeah. But the head of the athletic department told Alice she needed to shut it and threatened her. Jake didn’t defend her and Alice had to get revenge.
Marti’s law school friend Morgan dug up some more info to help the prisoner. They met with him and told him how his ex-homeless girlfriend now lived in suburbia but declined to talk to them. They found out that the house was owned by a big furniture retailer, so they went to ask him questions. They posed as real-estate students surveying the block. When questioned about the homeless girlfriend, the furniture guy said he helped out at a soup kitchen, met the woman and offered to let her stay at his place for tax write-off reasons. Then he tried to bribe them with tickets to U2 to stop digging around for info about it.
Meanwhile the Hellcats were throwing an 80s theme party. This gave the cats an excuse to dress up in 80s outfits and have numerous “music video” segments. Alice invited the journalist from the football story to do a story about the Hellcats instead. Jake was pissed. Morgan showed up at the party in his regular clothes and they made fun of him saying he came as Skippy from 80s show “Family Ties.” HAHA. Morgan (and everyone else who watches Hellcats) probably missed that reference but Skippy was the Keaton’s dorky sweater-wearing neighbor. Anyway so Morgan showed up to warn Marti that his computer had been stolen. Marti shrugged it off and showed him that her computer was fine. Later on someone sneaked into her room and took it. Also Wanda decided to stir the pot with Dan and Marti. She danced with Dan and told him that Marti wrote in her diary that she was in love with Dan and thought they would end up together. So now Dan was second-guessing his relationship with Savannah and that evening’s deflowering. Dan asked Marti about the diary and her feelings but Marti told him that it was a long time ago. For some reason all this simmering lust between them hadn’t come out until now, but even now it just seemed like the show writers were trying too hard and the actors couldn’t really pull it off.
So Dan and Savannah headed over to the hotel that S had booked for their liason. Dan went into the bathroom to “get ready” but he was having second thoughts. To break up the tension Savannah asked him about his first time and if he loved the girl. He said he did but he was 16 and he did it in the back of a car. Savannah put two and two together and realized Marti and Dan lost their virginity to each other. Umm yeah saw that from a mile away. So Savannah freaked out and ran out of the hotel. Dan ran after her…
