Frights and haunts are common occurrences during the month of October in Columbus, Ohio. Home to some of the scariest haunted house experiences in the country, Columbus boasts three distinct extreme haunts that are certain to send a shiver down the spine and cajole a scream from the lips.
-Located at 1501 East Dublin-Granville Road on the corner of State Route 161 and Karl Road is the Scare-a-torium. Housed inside a former grocery store, this haunted self-guided tour is filled with live actors who scream, scowl and scare.
-With plenty of free, well-lit parking and an entire indoor facility, the Scaratorium is open rain or shine. Kids can enjoy a less frightening, lights-on guided tour on Sundays from 5-7 pm. They can also experience face painting and families can shop for costumes and merchandise at the Discount Costume store.
-General Admission is $15.00; Timed Ticketing Admission (call ahead for a set time and date and go to the front of the line) is $13.95 and VIV (Very Important Victim-buy tickets onsite for a set time for admission) tickets are $25.00. The Terror Fest
-The award-winning Terror Fest haunted house features two spooktacular attractions, the Butcher’s Realm, a tour through the frightening DR Frightner’s realm featuring an asylum and an operating room and the Brewery Butcher that takes guests on an encounter with the fames serial killer DR Frightner and his victims.

The Haunted Hoochie
-What is a Hoochie? Who knows? But this gory spook house is as scary as they come. Billed as “The World’s Most Extreme Haunted Attraction,” the Haunted Hoochie is a Columbus tradition and not for the faint of heart (or stomach.) This gruesome fright fest is graphic and violent so leave the kids at home.

-The Haunted Hoochie is located 5 miles east of Columbus, Ohio on Broad Street and is situated next to its sister Haunt Attraction, Dead Acres.
