When it comes to the kitchen it can be a huge challenge to store, and pack all of the items you need away. With a little bit of creative thinking you should have no problem finding additional storage options. Baskets are really one of my favorite choices when it comes to kitchen storage. You can use everything from small to medium sized storage baskets to keep all of your items neatly tucked away. Below you will find several areas where baskets can work well in your kitchen. Remember that making minor changes to your kitchen, does not have to cost you a lot of money. You will also find that it makes your kitchen look a lot cozier, and comfortable.
Store it under the sink
The first location is under the sink. You can store several nice sized baskets that can hold any extra utensils, or hand towels. Since it is under the sink I would recommend that you use plastic baskets. You can find some very nicely decorated baskets at your local Wal-Mart store. These baskets are affordable and will make the under the sink area a lot more organized. Of course under the sink is not the only option, you can also very easily put them into the other cabinets to help things stay as organized as possible.
Hand baskets for the table
If you have a big enough kitchen tables you can line up a few small baskets on the table. These are a great place to keep napkins and even eating utensil. This way when it is time for dinner all you have to do is have everyone get their supplies right out of the table baskets. You can also use a round basket to keep your fresh fruit in. I have found that the nice wicker baskets that match your kitchen décor will really look nice on the tables. Once a week you can clean them out and reorganize them.
Counter top storage
There are always items that are left on the counters that need to be stored away. Unfortunately if you do not have a lot of storage space it can be difficult to keep it all in the cabinets. Instead many end up leaving their items right on the counter tops. If you have spices that are overflowing out of your spice rack it would be a great idea to use the basket for the overflow. It will help make your kitchen look neat and organized and you will have no problem finding items when you need them.
