You can add more than just the default message to your home page. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to add new messages to your home page. You have full control over these messages. You can also set the messages to expire after a certain many of days. This guide will show you how to do all of that.
To get started, you will need to open your Administration Menu. You will have to login to your admin area and then click the Administration link to get to this panel. In this panel, you will need to click the Messages button. The page will reload and you will be on the page where you can create and add new messages to your home page in PHP Nuke.
You will now need to scroll down the page until you see the Add Message section. In this section, you will need to fill in the fields in order to create your message. Below I will walk you through the fields in this section.
Title – In this field, you will need to type the title of your message you are going to add to your home page. The title is required.
Content – In the content field is where you type or paste your message. This field is also required.
Language – This is where you select the language of the message that you are posting.
Expiration – If you want the message to expire after so many days, this is where you would set it up. Drop the box down and select when you want the message to expire. Once it expires, it will be removed from your home page.
Active – If you want the message to be posted as soon as you create it, tick Yes in this section. If you want to post it later, click No in this section.
Who Can View This? – In this box, you will need to select who can see this message. Drop the box down and make your selection.
When you are finished creating your message, you will need to click the Add Message button. If you chose to activate the message, you can go to your home page and see the new message. If you chose not to activate it, it will not show up on your home page until you do.
