When you boot your computer up, and the login screen loads, you will see a photo or thumbnail. You have the option of changing the user photo. Even if you have more than one user on your computer, you can change them. You can change just yours or all of the users. In this guide, you will learn how to change your user photo for your computer. This is a very easy process and you can use your own image or an image on the computer.
You can begin by opening your user account page. I will walk you through opening that page. Go to your start menu and load it. In the start menu, you will need to find the Control Panel and open it. That will give you a list of links and you can find the User Accounts link and click it.
Now that you are in the user accounts folder, you can select the option to change your image. Click the Change My Picture link in the Task area. That will open a picture box and this is where you can change your user account photo.
In the picture box, you will see the different pictures you have to choose from. Browse through the photos and see if you can find one that you want to use. If you can’t, you can use your own image. If you want to use an image in this box, find the image and click it to select it. Once it is selected, you can click the Change Picture button and the user account photo will be changed to the one you chose.
If you want to use your own image, click the Browse for More Pictures link below the box of images. That will open a box and you can browse your computer for the image you want to use. Once you locate the image, you can click it and click the Open button. That will close the box and you can click the Change Picture button to change your user account photo.
Once you have selected your photo and clicked the Change Picture button, the box will close, but you will still have a box open. Simply click the X on this box to close it. Any time you want to change your user account photo, you can open this box and change it. You can use any image you want as long as it is an image file.
