If you need help with creating users for your PHP Nuke site, this tutorial will help you. In this tutorial, I will show you how to open the Users panel and I will show you how to create new users for your site. You must be logged in as the admin in order to create these users.
After logging into your admin area, click the Administration link. On the Administration page, you will need to look in the Modules Administration section and find the Users button. Once you find the Users button, click it to open the users panel.
You are now ready to create your first user for your PHP Nuke site. On your users page, you will need to scroll down until you see the Add a New User box. This is where you will set up the user’s information.
You will notice that there are a lot of fields in this box. Don’t let it overwhelm you. Only three of the fields are required and the others are optional. The three required fields are the nickname, email, and password fields. Most of the fields in this section are pretty self explanatory, but let’s take a look at some of the fields you may need help with.
Number Fields – The number fields include ICQ, AIM, YIM, and MSNM. All of these fields are for instant messengers. If you have information for these, you can enter them. If not, it is not a big deal.
Allow Other Users to View Email – If you want to allow other users on your site to see this users email address, you will need to click to field to check it. If you do not want them to be able to see it, you can leave the box unchecked.
Newsletter – If you want to subscribe this user to your newsletters, you will need to check Yes in the newsletter section. If you don’t, leave the No option ticked.
Everything else should be self explanatory. When you have finished entering the information for the user, you can click the Add User button at the bottom of your box and the user will be added to your site.
