Considering that you are reading this article, you have probably heard of World of Warcraft. Well, about a year ago, I was totally engrossed it, to the point where I would spend every second of my free time online I eventually realized that this had gotten out of control, and I somehow needed to end it. I tried everything I could find but nothing worked. So I kept thinking about it, and I realized that the best way to end the game would be to do it with a bang, so I decided to set some goals. These in-game goals helped me prepare myself for quitting in a fun way, and allowed me a sort of closure in the game. I have compiled a list of the goals I accomplished in order to quit, and you can use them if you’d like:
1. Reach level 80
A pretty straightforward goal, Im sure many of you out there had already accomplished it.
2. Reach 5000 gearscore
This was a bit harder, and it took me a while. But it was a great experience, and I got to do some great raids before I stopped playing in order to achieve this one.
3. Achieve the 100 mount achievement
This was by far the hardest achievement, and took me the longest. It was a great feeling, though, to fly around on a dragonhawk.
4. Beat one of the highest level raids
For me, this was Icecrown Citadel. I went with one of the best guilds in the game, and they pretty much carried me (I only had 5k gearscore) However I loved showing of the title!
5. Give away all your money
This was one of my favorites, and gave me the most closure. By the time I had finished all my other goals, I had around 60,000 gold, so It was amazingly fun to give away. I gave mine to all non-80s, and my favorite part was seeing a level 50 gnome log off after I gave him 10k. he logged back on a minute later and told me he was so shocked he accidentally hit the wrong keys and closed the screen!I hope you use my advice and that it helps!
