Stink bugs seem to be everywhere you go these days. No matter if you find them outside, hear about them from a friend, or read about them on the internet. It seems like these pesty bugs are the latest trend lately, but a stinky trend I must admit.
So many people think they can kill these stink bugs by using bombs, or chemical sprays, but these processes can take time, not guaranteed to kill them instantly, and harm your child or pet. Heck, might even cause some damage to your windows.
So the big question here is “How to kill stink bugs”? Or to be more exact, how to get rid of them, since some people or religions such as Jainism don’t believe in killing any living thing.
Well, being a professional beautician for over 17 years now, one of my main weapons for killing bugs such as wasps, spiders, ants, flies, and yes even stink bugs is a strong scented hairspray. Buy you must make sure you shoot them directly up close and personal. Once you spray the stink bugs with the hairspray, then will drop to the ground.
Repeat the spray one more time, and then get rid of them by flushing them in toilet, sealed up in a zip-loc bag, or out to the garbage.
Another great way to get rid of stink bugs is to mix a mixture of lemon juice with Vinegar into a plastic applicator bottle. Mix 1 ounce of juice, 1/2 ounce of vinegar, and fill the rest of the 8 ounce bottle with water. Shake it up.
The juice can be sprayed directly on the stink bugs, counter, windows, walls, and even the trees surrounding your home if needed.
Stink bugs are showing up everywhere, take control before you get too infested with these pain in the butt bugs. Will stink bugs make you sick?
No, they will not make you sick. They will not make a dog or cat sick. However, the animal would definitely need a bath or a good dog toothpaste to get rid of the nasty breath.
One more important thing to remember is to keep the sunlight minimal, because the light will attract the stink bugs. The more the dark the better. If none of this helps, then your next solution would be to get a pet bat, but who the heck wants to do that?
