A portable craft table makes art time so much easier for your children. Instead of having the supplies out, and all over the place a kit helps to make things portable, and moveable. This can especially be useful if you have limited space in your home. Some homes are just too small for an entire area to be dedicated to arts and crafts for your children. Of course the one thing you don’t want to do is stifle their imagination. This is where your portable craft table comes into the picture. Making one is really a lot easier than you may think at first. If you are not sure where to get he laptop case you can visit your local arts and craft store, or computer supply store. To get started you will need the following supplies; computer laptop case, various art supplies, flat piece of cardboard, protective page covers, and a stapler, glue. Keep reading to assemble your portable craft table.
The first thing you will need to do is cut the piece of cardboard so that it will snugly fit inside of the laptop case you have purchased. Next you will need to put the protective page cover over the piece of cardboard. Use the glue to secure the seams of the page cover. Once you have secured the page cover not the cardboard you will want to secure it into the laptop case. This will give your children a secure writing space to work on. Most laptop spaces include a pencil holder, and additional pockets to hold all of your child’s craft supplies. Now you can use the stapler to secure the cardboard to the case. You will need a large industrial stapler for this project.
In order to keep the craft supplies neat, and organized I have found it best to use the Ziploc bags. This will keep all of the craft materials from being scattered all around the bag. Then when your child is ready to work your child can easily take the case with them. What is really nice about this simple case is that your child can take it with them in the car or where ever. They can quietly work on their individual craft and enjoy doing so. Storage is also just as easy; you can easily zip it up and put it away when you are all done. Your job as the parent is just to keep the portable table stocked with all of the crafts.
