Want to plan a road trip ? Gather your friends and family and get going on a road trip. Here’s some steps to plan a road trip.
First step, decide where you want to go. Decide if you are going to go to a specific state, or state to state. What is the purpose of your trip? Sightseeing? Just want to drive around?
Second step, call up your friends and family members and find out who can go with you. Tip: pick only the fun ones, nobody wants a complainer on a road trip! Will it be just the immediate family? Or a girlfriend getaway road trip? Who you take trip will determine the level of fun you’ll have.
Third step, decide how long you want to be on the road, a week, two days, a year. Understand how long each journey from state to state will take. Calculate the miles before you go, this way you’ll have an estimate on how long your the trip will be.
Fourth step, pick the drivers. Pick at least one to two other drivers, just in case you get tired or sleepy or even to help drive during the road trip. If you’re the only one who knows how to drive, maybe you should consider the airplane. You should have at least one other good driver on the road with you, just in case something happens.
Fifth step, gather your information and resources, such as maps, emergency kits, places you’ll stay, things to do and places to visit. Although you’ll be a tourist, you don’t have to travel like one. Know where you are going and what you’re planning to do before you get there.
Sixth step, get your vehicle check. Make sure your tires are well inflated, a spare tire is available, flashlights, tune-ups are done before you leave. Prepare yourself for emergencies. Have at least someone who is knowledgeable about car mechanic on the road trip with you, if it’s possible.
Seventh step, check the weather and road conditions for each state or area you will be visiting. You don’t want to end up driving into a tornado. Thanks to technology most phones will give you an update on the weather as you are on the road.
Eighth step, shop for supplies, such as snacks, water, music, games, batteries. Bring on the necessary items, but don’t overload the car with unnecessary stuff. Remember during a road trip you can collect fun items as you go and dine in different places.
Lastly, have fun, drive safe and take lots of pictures to create everlasting memories. Road trip anyone?
