Heart disease is a number one killer in the world. Heart disease is mainly cause by unhealthy diets. Diet full of saturated fats clogs arteries leading to coronary heart disease. The good news is that heart disease can be reversed and slowed with good diet and exercise. These are the steps that can slow heart disease or even eliminate it from your body
Things you’ll need:
- polyunsaturated fats
- reduce salt intake
1. Eat more Fiber. Foods in high fiber such as whole grain cereals and breads reduce the amount of fat and cholesterol your body absorbs while digesting fatty foods. Fiber can also be found in fresh fruits, vegetables, peas, beans and lentils.
2. Opt for less saturated fats. Polyunsaturated fats and oils such as olive oil are good for the body. Avoid red meat and other highly saturated fats that can clog the arteries. Eat lean meat, fish, poultry, skimmed milk and low fat dairy products. Saturated fats can lead to obesity which increases the risk of having coronary heart disease. Exercise to reduce weight and watch your fat intake
3. Reduce salt intake. Salt increases blood pressure, which in turns increases the risk of developing coronary heart disease.
