For example, if you do the math a five pound bag of potatoes may cost you on average eighty cents per pound compared to dollar twenty nice cents per pound for the individual potatoes.

Of course, if you are single and you know you won’t use the full amount of a five pound bag of potatoes and the potatoes will more than likely go to waste if you purchase that amount, then this is not a good deal for you.

Look at this example: You could purchase a precut cantaloupe at $3.99 a pound, a half of a cantaloupe for $1.69 a pound or a whole cantaloupe for $1.39 a pound. If the advertise price for an item is 10 for $10 dollars this does not always mean that you have to purchase all ten items to get the sales price. When there is a certain amount that you have to purchase before you get the listed sales price, it is generally listed on the advertisement.
