If you need to send messages to your users in Joomla, this tutorial will help you. In this tutorial, I will show you how to send site messages to users that are currently signed up for your site. This is a great way to let people know of upcoming events, changes to your site, latest news, or whatever you need to let them know.
You will first need to open your site messages page and then you can create your site message. From there, you can send the message to the site users of your choice. Continue with this tutorial to learn how to do all of that.
First, let’s load the page with your messages options on it. At the top of your page, in your main menu, you will need to hover your mouse over the Tools menu. Then you will see the menu expand. In this menu, you will need to click the Write Message option. The page will now load for you to create your message.
On this page, you will see the options for sending messages to your site users. Below, I will walk you through the fields that are on this page.
To – In this section of the message, you will need to click the box to drop it down. In the box, you will need to select the user that you want to send the message to. Click the user’s name to select it.
Subject – In this field, you can enter a subject for the message you are creating.
Message – This is where you will type your actual message to the user.
When you are finished creating the message for your site users, you can proceed with sending the message. To do this, you will need to click the Send button that is in your top menu. Then the page will refresh and your message will be sent. If you decided you do not want to send the message, you can click the Cancel button in the top menu and you will be returned to the menu of your Joomla site.
