If you need to set permissions for your forums, but don’t know how, read this tutorial. This tutorial will show you how to set permissions for each forum you have on your TikiWiki site. You do not have to set the same permissions for every forum. You can set them differently. This tutorial will show you how to do it individually. To get started with this tutorial, login to admin and click the Admin Forums link under the Forums folder on the left.
Now you will be on the forums page. On this page, you will see the list of all your forums that are currently on your site. Find one of the forums you want to set the permissions for. Then look to the far right of that forum and click the key icon. This is your permissions tool.
On the following page is where you will set up the permissions. You will have two main options when it comes to these permissions. You can allow registered members or anonymous users to do certain things.
You will need to look through all of the permissions and check registered or anonymous users. You can mix it up. You can allow registered users to do certain things and you can allow anonymous users to do certain things.
However, if you want to allow only registered users to have access, you can click the Registered box at the top of the permissions box and it will check all of them as registered. The same goes for anonymous. If you want all of them to allow anonymous users, click the anonymous box at the top of the permissions box.
When you have your permissions set, you will need to click the Assign button at the bottom of the permissions box. The permissions page will then reload. If you need to assign permissions for other forums, click the Back button at the top of the permissions box. Then you can select another forum and set permissions for it. Continue doing this until you have set all of the permissions you want.
