Men are generally terrified of buying their girlfriend a Christmas present unless she has literally walked him to the store, picked up what she wanted, placed it on the counter, and he purchased it with her there. Usually, this does not happen. Instead, she ends up with a book she does not want and one she possessed (not that this occurred last Christmas. Or that we are together). I can guide you in the right direction so you do not have the same fate my relationship did.
If your girlfriend likes Coach bags, you can either hit up the outlet or simply go to the Coach store. The dozens of bags may be overwhelming, so just find a sale associate and tell you are looking for a Madison Large Wristlet for $98. These little wristlets are very stylish and will hold just enough for when the two of you hit the town. If she is more of a minimalist, Coach also carries the Madison Op Art Leather Wristlet for $48, which is a little smaller and has a bit more decoration.
When a woman sees The Blue Box from Tiffany’s, you have already have scored points. Although the store can be quite pricey, there are several items you can buy for $100 or under. They currently have their Return to Tiffany Mini Double Heart Tag Pendant for $100. If she already has a favorite necklace, for the same price you can get a ring (not that kind of ring). The Tiffany Notes Band Ring is lovely and will never go out of style.
One place I’m sure men either love going or chicken out and order online is Victoria’s Secret. They have really cute and sexy pajamas that make a great gift for both of you–everyone wins! Right now they have their Victoria’s Secret Pink Bling PJ Gift Set for $49.50. They also just released great NFL wear. The only mistake you can make is buying something much bigger than she is, so sneak a peek at the size of her shirts sometime when she is not in the room. The friendly salespeople will be at the store will be able to assist you once you have that information.
On a bit of a different note, for $50 you can purchase an M&M dispenser and 3 bags of M&Ms. But these are not ordinary M&Ms. They are personalized M&Ms so you can tell your girlfriend how much you love her, or how great you did with picking out gifts. You earn points here for being creative, sweet and giving her chocolate. Perfect combination!
The last gift is definitely more sentimental. For a mere $34, you can purchase a Name A Star Kit. And yes, I am aware you do not need a kit to name a star, and the star will not suddenly become yours and come hang out above your yard. But if you have a romantic type of girlfriend, and most are even if they do not admit it, she will be happy with the thoughtful and sweet gesture. Spending an evening together outside looking at stars can be very relaxing and romantic.
Often times your girlfriends will drop hints as early as summer and you may not be catching them. Just try to listen, and if you are really stumped just ask her what she wants. If she gives you the old “Surprise Me”, then asking one of her friends is a safe bet. If you still don’t have any ideas, just please do not buy her a book that does not suit her personality for Christmas. If you do, you won’t have to worry about picking out a Valentine’s Day gift for her.
