Register Your Business
Properly register your business by starting at the local county recorders office. You must first file a fictitious business name and pay the fee. You will be required to post your fictitious business name in the newspaper. You can then use your fictitious business name filing to open up a bank account in the name of your new security business. To start your own security company you will need a bank account.
When you are at the county recorders office, you should inquire about what other licenses or registrations you will need for your type of business in your state. You may be required to obtain a business license, insurance or other qualifications.
Phones, Cards and Address
If you have the money to obtain a business address and business phone number. You can use your home information temporarily, but it is best to open up business accounts as soon as possible. At a minimum, you will need business cards and a phone to start your own security company.
