If you are using Horde as your email client, you can subscribe to many different news subscriptions and read your news right from your email. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to subscribe to news and how to view the news in Horde Web Mail. You will need to login to your email and follow along with me in this tutorial.
Subscribing to News in Horde
We will begin subscribing to news in Horde. Begin by clicking the Options link in the left menu. When the options expand, look for the News link and click it. Your page will reload and you will see the News box. Click that link to open the page with all the news you can subscribe to.
On this page, you will see a long list of news channels you can subscribe to. On the right side of the news, you will see the Subscribe link. Clicking this link beside the news channels you want to subscribe to will subscribe you. You will then see that link change to Unsubscribe. You will also notice an Edit link appear. Clicking this link will allow you to choose your settings for the subscription.
You can read through the news channels and subscribe to the ones you want. Then you can edit them to receive the type of news you want. When you are finished, you can continue with your email or whatever you want to do. You do not have to save the changes. They are saved automatically.
Checking Your News in Horde
To check your news in Horde, you can click the Horde link in the left menu. Then click the News icon at the top of the window. The page will reload and you will see all of the current headlines.
Another way to view your news is by clicking the link in the left menu. In the left menu, you will see the Information link. Click that link and then you will see the News link. Clicking that link will open your news headlines for you to read. To read the full story, you can click the title of the headline.
