Swagbucks is an online service that gives you the opportunity to earn cash and gift cards, win prizes, claim cool free gifts, and enter sweepstakes. The gift cards that are available are for many places you may already enjoy shopping, both on and offline. Right now there are gift cards for Target, Best Buy, Amazon dot com, Restaurant dot com, Game Spot, REI Sporting Goods, and Southwest Airlines, and that’s just to name a few. You can also get your swagbuck points turned into actual cash through PayPal, although sometimes the deal seems better to take the other prizes or gift cards that are available.
This week I claimed two $25 gift certificates to restaurant dot com, for example. Each cost 400 swagbucks, the total of which probably took me a couple of weeks to amass in random free moments. I earned the points by using their search engine while I was doing research for some articles I was writing, and also by completing some surveys I qualified for. The restaurant gift cards were a great deal, from one of the many cool partnering business. I was able to get two different gift certificates to two local restaurants I’ve wanted to try. Each requires that you spend at least $35, which means that I’ll only spend about $10 to be able to take myself and a friend out for a nice bite to eat.
The different rewards available can be found on the website’s swag store, and cost various amounts of swag bucks.
Here’s a few more examples:
$5 Amazon dot com gift card: 450 swagbucks
$25 Travelocity gift card towards hotels: 349 swagbucks
2,000 Nintendo Wii points- 4,000 swagbucks
$20 Target Gift Card- 2,350 swagbucks
“Possibilities” Motivational Lighthouse Print- 1,150 swagbucks
Breakfast At Tiffany’s DVD- 1789 swagbucks
More Ways to Use Your Swagbucks
Another way you can use your swagbucks points is to enter the swagstakes for prizes you find interesting. The sweepstakes run on the swagbucks site offer chances to win really cool prizes. I’ve entered to win a Toshiba Satellite laptop, an electric guitar, and a Nintendo Wii game system. Of course, you only get the chance to win, but you could wind up walking away with something fun and unexpected.
After you sign up, take a good look around the site to get some ideas about what kinds of prizes you’d like to win. The swag store is nicely categorized, so that you can find jewelery, clothing, gift certificates, and other things easily. You’ll also find a lot of information on how Swagbucks works and how you can earn more.
Winning the most Swagbucks to get the prizes you want:
There are a variety of ways to get swagbucks. The easiest way is to use the swagbucks search engine. It pulls it’s results from Google and Ask.com, so you know you’ll be getting the same useful results. As you search, swagbucks will randomly award points to you for using their search engine. I’ve gotten as few as one or two swagbucks, and as many as fifty. Doing lots of searches will help you win more swagbucks, so if you try it out you’ll want to do most of your surfing and research through the site.
There is a special toolbar you can download to do your searches from, too. Using the toolbar makes swagbucks easy to use, and reminds me that it’s there when I get online. Occasionally I get extra points for making use of that, as well. I’m wary about downloading and installing things on my computer at times, but I can say that I’ve had it integrated into my firefox browser for months with no problems.
Another way you can earn swagbucks is to take surveys from companies they partner with. They surveys vary in length from just a few questions to quite lengthy. You’ll be able to see what the survey pertains to, how long you should expect it to take, and how many swagbucks you’ll be rewarded with. Rewards for completing surveys can be as high as 300 swagbucks, so doing them can really help you score enough points to get what you want. There are also opportunities to take polls, complete special offers, and pass the word on to your friends.
