If someone came and parked a tour bus in front of your house, unloaded a group of tourists, and they all loitered and snapped pictures and made a general nuisance, you would probably call the police, right? Well imagine that times forty. In an hour.
These are the numbers facing Fulton Ferry residents in the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge home neighborhood. According to an interview from therealdeal.com (1) Zimmerman said “we counted 44 buses in one hour on a recent Saturday night, and 28 were in the first half hour alone.”
It’s not just a nuisance compliant but a safety issue. According to Zimmerman “The passengers are there to take (photos) of the bridge and Manhattan from the pier, but they’re being loaded and unloaded illegally from the middle of the street. So, it’s clearly a safety issue.”
You hear that NYPD?
