Learn to Stay Happy Even with Infertility.

Infertility is not an easy process. Talk to any woman who’s struggled with infertility and you will find that they struggled emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Infertility affects on every part of a women’s life. No matter how often she tries to “forget” about her inability to conceive, she can’t. Every where she turns, she is faced with the excruciating reality of her all-to-real-struggle to conceive.

I know I am not alone as I right this infertility article. Women around the world struggle with the same issues as I do. In case you haven’t noticed, I too struggle with infertility. My struggles began almost four years ago. Throughout my own journey, I have found many small, yet important tips that can help us both through our personal journeys. I hope they help you as much as they help me.

Remember, as infertility is a monthly journey, you will need to repeat these steps often. Because unless you find the joy of being pregnant, the heartache and pain that comes with infertility can be excruciating. Yet, there is hope. We can make it day by day and still live wonderfully, happy lives. Like I said, it’s one day at a time.

Infertility Tips That Can Help You Stay Sane!

Infertility Tip #1 Know when you’ve had enough.

Have you ever been in the middle of a baby shower and wondered why on earth you accepted the invitation? Your monthly should start any day and you are stressed out, ready to cry, and need just to get away? If you’ve had one of these encounters, learn from them.

Learn when to say No! It is ok if you don’t make every baby shower there is. Send a gift to let the mother-to-be know you care. You can save yourself a lot of heartache by choosing what activities you take part in.

Infertility Tip #2 Communicate with your Spouse.

Sometimes you just feel all alone. Everyone around is getting pregnant. The heartache seems to grow leaps and bounds daily. If this seems to you every month, I hope you’ve learned the value in talking to your spouse. Learning to communicate what you’re feeling is by far one of the best infertility tips. Sharing your hurts, fears, and anguish can help you continue this process day by day.

Sometimes talking with your loved one, each of you sharing your own thoughts and fears can bring you closer together. Of course, this tip is just plain ole good for marriage itself. If you are trying to conceive, I hope you take the time daily to talk with your spouse about what is going on in your body, your heart, and your mind!

Infertility Tip #3 Breathe.

This sounds corny to say, but learning to take deep breaths is vital throughout the infertility process. There are many days where I need to take time away and just get quiet, breathe deeply, and spend time in prayer. It may only be for a few minutes but it gives me the strength to keep going.

The more times you do this daily, the more vital it becomes in your life. Great places to “breathe” are in the bathroom, the car, the shower, or any few moments you have alone.

Infertility Tip #4 Education is Everything.

There is nothing worse than being uninformed. Especially, when it comes to your body, as you want to know the in’s and out’s of your body. Take the time to really get to know the facts about infertility. Not only that, but learn about your body and how it works. The more you know, the better prepared you will be to overcoming infertility.

Infertility Tip #5 Take Breaks.

Who wants to take a break when we are TTC? Take it from someone who’s been there for quite a few years. You need breaks if you want to survive throughout the infertility process. Whether you take a month or three months, take the time to get rejuvenated. Your body needs this as much as your spouse! Take the time off to reconnect with your spouse and use the time wisely. Your body, mind, and spirit will appreciate your efforts!

Infertility Tip #6 Ovulation Matters.

Because during ovulation we will only get a few days, make each day count. Whether you prefer every other day or every day, use your fertile days with success. You want them to count, so know when you ovulate. By doing this, you are helping your TTC process by giving your self the highest changes for pregnancy!

If you haven’t figured out when you ovulate, buy a ovulation kit! You won’t regret it!
