According to police, she was highly intoxicated and refused to leave the premises. Officers were forced to arrest her for disorderly conduct.
On the same day, Royal Oak police offers attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle around 11:30pm. Instead of stopping, the 1989 Volvo sped off. Officers followed the vehicle nearly to Detroit, then almost back to Royal Oak again. In Madison Heights, the driver bailed out of the Volvo and took off on foot. Officers apprehended him about one block away. According to the police, his blood alcohol level was 0.18% – more than twice the legal limit.
