The $10 million settlement that Tiger Woods paid to Rachel Uchitel seems to allow Woods to have some controlling interest over his ex-mistress.
According to RadarOnline, Uchitel’s recent Playboy shoot has been nixed due to it breaking the agreements of this settlement.
Apparently the $300,000 pay check that Uchitel was to receive for taking it all off for Playboy was going to include Playboy making reference to Woods.
The story was going to mention Woods on the cover. This would be the likely scenario; after all, Uchitel’s claim to fame is that she was mistress # 1 in the “Tiger Woods sex scandal.” Many may not recognize her just by using her name only.
Will Playboy sell more magazines claiming Rachel Uchitel is on the cover, or if “Tiger Woods’ number one ex-mistress is on the cover?” More than likely, people are going to want to see what Woods saw, and his name will draw in more readers.
At one point, Uchitel was to pose with a baby tiger cub, which may have been a subtle reference to Woods, just because of picking that particular species. This was not going to be allowed either by Woods, according to RadarOnline.
This Playboy cover shoot, with even a slight reference to Woods, goes against the contract that Uchitel has with the man. Basically, it is better to turn down a $300,000 job than it is to put your $10 million in jeopardy.
Although the details of the contract have never been released for the public to see, we are starting to get a good idea what this signed agreement entails.
It does sound like Woods has some controlling interest over his secret ex-girlfriend, because it was Woods who threatened to overturn the settlement, according to RadarOnline.
Many wondered why the $10 million was paid to Uchitel; after all, the cat was already out of the bag when the contract was made. Uchitel had already been named as one of Woods’ mistresses, and their sex life together became front-page news.
It is apparent now that Woods’ lawyers saw the marketing potential in Uchitel, and it was in Woods’ best interest to buy her off and keep his name from living on in the adult entertainment industry, such as Playboy.
The $10 million apparently allows Woods to have some say in the life of his ex-mistress-turned-overnight-celebrity.
Any offers that Uchitel gets now and in the future are most likely because she was the ex-mistress of Woods. She has no talent to offer or any other claim to fame other than she slept with the world’s number one golfer.
It sounds as if Tiger Woods purchased Uchitel’s future and he will have a say in what she can and cannot do in the public eye. $10 million is a lot of money, and Uchitel could live off of that money for the rest of her life if she does it right, but maybe she wants more than money.
Just maybe Uchitel wants to continue on with gaining fame and keeping her name out there. One thing she needs to realize is that her name is not good enough. If she doesn’t come along with a Tiger Woods byline, she is apparently not marketable. It sounds as if Woods is going to make sure that it will remain this way by holding a $10 million purse over her head!
Ironically, the mistress is now a kept woman and the same name that got her there, Tiger Woods, is the same name stopping her from going any further in her career as a celebrity wannabe. I guess this is one of those “be careful what you wish for” type of stories!
